The best beaches of Limassol
Limassol is the most vibrant city in Cyprus. This is a major tourist center on a par with Ayia Napa and Protaras, where life does not freeze all year round, as it has many attractions and entertainment. The southern resort is famous for its beaches. You can relax in the city, but in high season the coastline is too densely equipped with rows of vacationers.
The exception is only a few hotels with their own beaches – proud owners of 4 and 5 stars: Amathus Beach Hotel Limassol, Four Seasons, St. Raphael, Mediterranean Beach, Elias Beach, Londa, GrandResort, Le Meridien.
It is better to go outside Limassol, where it is much freer, the gentle sea and stunning views are unlikely to leave anyone indifferent. Remember to rent a car to travel comfortably.

Lady’s Mile Beach
This quiet beach is located 4 km west of Limassol, on the Akrotiri Peninsula. It can be reached in 10-15 minutes. The coastal length is about 7 km, there is almost no vegetation, so you should not look for a natural shadow.
Nature divided Lady’s Mile into 2 parts – pebble and sand, behind is a salt lake with a house for flamingos and a military base. It is said that the beach was named after the horse commander of a military unit. According to another version, the horse belonged to the governor of Cyprus.
The beach is very popular among couples with children because of the comfortable descent into the water and the lack of waves. Active sports are popular here: windsurfing, parasailing, diving, soccer, volleyball.
